Event Details

More than just a wife (of second president John Adams) and mother (of sixth president John Quincy Adams), Abigail Adams was a true partner to her husband and a committed patriot. Feisty and outspoken, she immersed herself in the politics of her day even while she ran the family's farm. In this living history portrayal by award-winning actress and scholar Leslie Goddard, Adams recounts her life, including her famous call to John to "remember the Ladies" in the founding of the new nation. She shares her opinions of the founding fathers, displays her lively wit and offers a glimpse at one of the great love stories of all times.

Leslie Goddard is an award-winning actress and scholar who has been presenting history programs for more than twenty years. She holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University specializing in American studies and U.S. history as well as a master’s degree in theater. A former museum director, she is the author of three books on history and currently works full-
time as an author and public speaker.
