Founded in 1869 when the idea of a museum is both a place to learn and visit, The American Museum of Natural History has become one of the foremost leaders in scientific research, education, and exhibitions. Boasting over 35 million specimens from around the world, join our virtual expedition as we uncover the founding of AMNH, its historic building, and unearth its most famous artifacts. From its iconic life size Blue Whale, to Tyrannosaurus rex, and to its stunning collection of dazzling diamonds, get ready to explore the earth’s wonders from your own home. Part 1 in a 3 part museum series.
After the virtual tour, Palisades residents can use your library card to get up to four AMNH tickets for free admission!
