About this Exhibit
Becoming: Currents and Stillness explores the delicate balance between a need for movement to avoid stagnation and our longing for stillness in a busy world. Highlighting the fluid boundaries between realism and abstraction, the works juxtapose structured and organic, free-flowing elements to reflect the continuous transformation that exists in nature as well as within our spirits. Drawn to nature for its willingness to evolve, unfold, and let go, I use multiple mediums and intuition to capture its lessons on movement, rejuvenation, and transformation. With its changing tides, shifting light, and cycles of renewal, nature shows us that both motion and stillness can coexist, offering us the balance needed to continue becoming.
