February's book club selection: "Where the Forest Meets the Stars" by Glendy Vanderah is a debut novel blending contemporary fiction, romance, and magical realism, about a grieving ornithologist, Joanna Teale, who finds a mysterious, barefoot child named Ursa in the woods, claiming to be from the stars and needing to witness five miracles to return home. Joanna enlists the help of her reclusive neighbor, Gabriel Nash, to care for Ursa, and the three form an unlikely bond as they unravel the mystery of the child's origins, leading to themes of love, healing, and second chances.
