Event Details

Celebrate National Library Week with 🎷BridgeMusik Chamber Hour The Living Groove — Jazz Across Generations, a dynamic one-hour jazz concert celebrating mentorship, rhythm, and improvisation. This event is free and will be held in the Behringer Room at Blauvelt Free Library with light refreshments sponsored by the Friends of the Blauvelt Free Library.

Renowned bassist Bill Moring appears alongside his talented college students in a program that highlights jazz as a living, evolving tradition—passed from one generation of musicians to the next. Blending deep groove, spontaneous interplay, and fresh voices, the concert offers an engaging portrait of jazz as both heritage and forward-looking art form.

This program reflects BridgeMusik’s commitment to fostering intergenerational exchange and showcasing music as a shared, communal experience in welcoming local spaces. This series is made possible with support from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), the Froning Family Foundation, and individual donors. Help us keep these programs free and accessible by making a contribution on Eventbrite or at bridgemusik.com/support. Every gift makes a difference!
