Event Details

On Tuesday, August 20. At 2pm, the Tappan Free Library will present "Celebrating Women's Equality Day through Dance and Music" a performance by the Debra Weiss Dance Company and Musicians. The program features dance, music, and poetry from diverse cultures, including African American, Haitian, Israeli, and Latin American. Musical selections highlight women composers, including cast member Tamuz Nissim. Dance styles include modern, folkloric, hip hop and step.

This project is made possible with funds from the County of Rockland and the Statewide Community Regrant, a regrant program of New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Governor’s office and the New York State Legislature and administered by ArtsWestchester.
