The next class in our popular Create and Sip for Adults series with Alexis Starke is coming up! We will create a marsh painting inspired by Irish artist Norah McGuinness. McGuinness's work has a Mid Century Modern look to it that should be fun to work with and you will find many connections to her work. We will look at some photographs of the landscape, plants, and birds of our own Piermont Marsh for inspiration (feel free to have some photographs of your own handy as well- or even take a walk along the marsh to get inspired) as well as images of Norah McGuinness's paintings of birds in their environment. Acrylic paints work great for this project, but you can use whatever supplies you have!
Each participant will receive a goody bag with chocolates, a mini bottle of wine, paper, and inspiration images from the Piermont Marsh and Norah McGuinness. Goody bags should be pick up from the library no later than 1pm the day of the program. Our projects are always designed to be relaxed and beginner friendly but fun for all levels.
This is a live virtual class.
