Program Description

Event Details

Do you like to eat?  We all need to eat, but for most of us, it’s also a major enjoyment in life, too.  The cost of food has been rising, making it harder to put food on the table for some, and it will be making it harder to buy the foods that give us that joy and satisfaction.   We need to make some big changes in our food system, and we might even consider changing some of what we eat, too.

Come and learn what you can do about this – to shop better, eat better, and help to change policies around food.   Share in the discussion and sample some snacks!

Katherine Schwarz (MS, MPH) is a Public Health Nutritionist.  She teaches at Lehman College and has previously taught a class on food security for public health students at NY Medical College.
