MTA: Art & Design

The MTA in NYC commissions the most outstanding art installations, which beautify our subway stations with cutting-edge, top-notch artworks by internationally acclaimed artists. Most of them work together with mosaic, glass, and metal manufacturers to translate their work into these durable and fascinating materials. Together, they celebrate New York’s cultural diversity and empower all New Yorkers to be proud members of this creative world capital! Zoom will allow us to visit many of the most outstanding stations with works by artists like Vik Muniz, Chuck Close, Faith Ringold, Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, Firely Baez, Alison Saar and many many others!
