Event Details

Stop by the library on Saturday, June 10th, from 12pm to 3pm, during Piermont's 1st Annual Festival of Hudson Valley Arts!  We will have our Student Art Exhibition: Inspirations from Ireland on display and there will be art exhibitions, performances, and workshops happening throughout the Village of Piermont!  We will also have a simple DIY craft available inspired by our student exhibition.

Our students in grades 1 - 12 in Alexis Starke's library art classes have been working on a variety of projects united by the theme Inspirations from Ireland. We have taken inspiration from the early medieval manuscript the Book of Kells; the contemporary animated film The Secret of Kells; and the jewel toned stained glass portraits of Harry Clarke, all while learning some Irish history, culture, geography, and natural science along the way.

Come join in the excitement as our wonderful students share their artwork with the community!
