Jillian O'Donohoe from the Catholic Charities in Haverstraw will be at the Orangeburg Library to discuss the SNAP or food stamps program.

There will be a table set up in the auditorium so you can speak privately, and if you're interested, they can do a screening to determine if you are eligible to receive food stamps.

SNAP program (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program):

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) is a federal assistance program in the United States that provides low-income individuals and families with financial support to purchase nutritious food. Administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), SNAP aims to reduce hunger and improve food security by issuing benefits through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which can be used at authorized grocery stores and farmers markets.
